I WOULD LIKE HELP WITH

This piece is already finished and hanging in a gallery, but I'd like feedback on what what I could have done to make it stronger. The work is about how even the smallest deviations from the status quo can feel like an act of rebellion as you attempt to live a life that is true to yourself, with the skull representing old thinking/the status quo, the tentacles are the deviation from that tradition, and the flowers are the new growth that stems from taking hat step to be authentic. Feedback is much appreciated!
