Deltoid doesn’t feel round enough. Needs more light on it, and fabric shape is flattening it too.
Lovely. Having been a tattoo artist, it’s a tricky thing to get it to look like part of the skin. I would suggest darkening the receding areas and areas in shadow.
Hello! That tattoo-like bee (?) caught my eye–it’s great, but does look to me like it’s floating above the skin here where the contrast is higher…that could be a really neat effect, if it’s what you’re going for! If not, yes–modeling the shadows to follow skin/physical form underneath would make it feel more integrated with the figure. Something about the way the figure’s left clavicle meets the top of the shoulder feels strange–the trapezius maybe should be more rounded above the clavicle like on the figure’s right side. If the hair on the figure’s left shoulder is obscuring or overlapping the left shoulder, it’s not quite reading that way to me–more like the hair’s got some bright light on it and is falling down the figure’s back. This is a very interesting portrait–I want to know more about who this lady is, and what her story is; the colors in the hair and the headdress are wonderful.
